Inspection Engineer

We are seeking a number of Senior Inspection Engineers and Inspection Engineers (London/Aberdeen), with a strong background in performing inspections and producing technical reports on the condition of assets. These Inspection Engineer roles will be on a permanent staff basis and based in the UK in London or Aberdeen, although regular travel in-country and worldwide will be necessary.


  • Provide UAV inspection related services in the UK/USA and worldwide (There is no requirement to perform rope access)
  • Lead the inspection team and work with a UAV Remote Pilot to capture imagery
  • Guide on-site inspections and liaise with on-site client representatives
  • Perform a combined role as both a UAV camera operator and inspection engineer
  • Remotely operate a camera on a small, rotary UAV during inspections on onshore and offshore assets

Experience and qualifications

  • Experience of working as an inspector within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Sound technical understanding of the functionality of Oil and Gas assets
  • Sound understanding of typical materials, coatings, damage mechanisms and anomalies associated with Oil and Gas assets
  • CSWIP/PCN inspection qualifications or equivalent with the necessary survival qualifications to visit onshore and offshore assets


  • Ability to operate effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work with high levels of independence in complex environments
  • Highly professional with a focus on health and safety and familiar with relevant legislation Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Calm and pragmatic problem solver
  • Computer literate
  • Willing to travel worldwide on a regular basis for varied lengths of time and hold a full UK driving license.
